Leadership

With great power comes great responsibility. Peter Parker knows it, and so does Abe Lincoln. Though we're not superheroes or President, we're still the Linux market leader. Vendors want to deal with us, and customers ask for us by name. We're at the top of our game, and we'd like to stay there. Some companies stay at the top by monopolizing the industry's resources, caging vendors, and trapping their customers. That's not the way we think it should work. We think we're in this position to help others, not stifle them. We want to keep the cycle going.

Wherever possible, we're there. We sit on influential technology committees and boards. We send out our executives to spread the word. And, some would say most importantly, we put our money where our mouth is. We pay community developers to work on Linux full-time from their homes or from their offices, all over the world. We set up entities like the Fedora Project Board. This is our mandate and our passion.
