Visual Numerics

Visual Numerics develops leading-edge data analysis and visualization solutions for technical, business, and scientific communities worldwide. Visual Numerics products include the gold-standard IMSL Numerical Libraries, written in C, Java, and Fortran, as well as the PV-WAVE family of visualization tools. Visual Numerics partners with its customers and Red Hat to provide world-class visual data analysis solutions and consulting services that are unsurpassed in the industry.

Visual Numerics provides leading technical solutions for numerical analysis and visual data analysis to users in a broad range of industries, including companies delivering business intelligence (BI) solutions. Established in 1970, Visual Numerics has a successful track record of delivering innovative products for multiple platforms, including Red Hat Linux. For customers developing new or migrating existing applications to Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, Visual Numerics products are proven to deliver the highest efficiency, greatest accuracy, and maximum performance for numerical analysis needs.

Visual Numerics offers two complementary product lines:

IMSL Numerical Libraries

The IMSL Libraries provide users with the software and technical expertise needed to develop and execute scalable numerical analysis applications. The IMSL Libraries save development time by providing pre-written mathematical and statistical algorithms that can be embedded into C, .NET, Java, and Fortran applications, enhancing return on investment and programmer productivity. IMSL Numerical Libraries ensure numerical consistency across different languages and platforms; an important advantage for applications that run on multiple platforms or for applications that are being upgraded from legacy environments to Linux.

PV-WAVE family of products

The PV-WAVE family of products allows users to rapidly import, manipulate, analyze and visualize data. The PV-WAVE Family includes robust time series analysis software as well as the ability to share analysis results across the enterprise with a Java-based solution. And, unlike other products, PV-WAVE Advantage includes a sophisticated set of analysis routines based on the industry-standard IMSL Numerical Libraries.

In addition, Visual Numerics offers consulting services, combining technical expertise, decades of hands-on experience, and powerful products to create the highest quality solutions possible for numerical and visual data analysis. Consultants provide all levels of support from software development to simply helping customers better understand their analysis and visualization needs.

Visual Numerics serves a range of industries which include: aerospace, finance, semiconductor, manufacturing, education, R&D, environment, life sciences, government, and OEM/ISV.
