Look Inside Red Hat

People join Red Hat for a lot of reasons. For some it's our technology expertise and the chance to work among the best Linux and open source developers. For some it's the reach of the Red Hat brand. For others it's our growing market opportunity. Many people see the unrivaled potential for personal growth that comes in a company so dedicated to its people.

And some just want to change the world.

It's easy to see what makes Red Hat different on the outside. But here are a few things you'll find that make us great on the inside.

Our Philosophy

We won't compromise our values: courage, freedom, commitment, and accountability.

Defining corporate values isn't unique to Red Hat, but upholding them and maintaining balance between them just might be.

We also depend on the three ideals that represent our greatest strengths: truth, collaboration, and value. In each country, in each language, in each office, these things remain the same.

How do we do these things so well? Collaboration. Working with a worldwide community of developers means we can create better technology, faster.

We can deliver the best value in our solutions, services, and support. And that gets noticed. It's what sets us apart as a company--just ask our customers.

And truth is what unites us all. Open source principles are redefining how the world works, plays, communicates. Inevitably, when you do the right thing, truth happens.

Red Hat Chairman's Award

The Red Hat Chairman's Award was unveiled at the Red Hat Summit in 2006. It's an annual award to recognize associates with contributions so strong, so superior, and worthy of merit and acknowledgment that they have been recognized by their peers to receive the award.

The Show

Red Hat is a global company. We're constantly changing. So how do we keep up with the all the great things that Red Hat is doing? Red Hat film makers produce The Show, an internal video update that helps to spread the word about all the great things happening at Red Hat. And it's not some one-way corporate voice telling you what to do. It's informative. It's collaborative. The Show asks associates to contribute much of the content for each episode.

Many associates get together in their offices to view the latest episode. We learn. We laugh. We appreciate the dedication to our people and our culture.

The Show is an important part of our culture. This mix of clips demonstrates that The Show is as diverse as those who help to create it.
